John Mack

The late John Mack (MD) was one of the pioneers in the academic world to take the abduction phenomenon seriously. He was a professor of psychiatry at the Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and founding director of the Center for Psychology and Social Change.

He is the author of "Abduction. Human Encounters with Aliens," and of "Passport to the Cosmos". His earlier books include the 1977 Pulitzer Prize-winning "A Prince of Our Disorder," a biography of T.E. Lawrence.

He died in September 2004 in London when he was run over by a drunken driver.
